Dear friends, I present to your attention the notes of a special Polka for me — "Antonina". This is a dedication to my granddaughter, written literally in one breath.
It all started with a simple observation: Antonina danced, frolicked, showed gymnastic wonders, and I just sat, watched and rejoiced. Her energy, lightness and happiness were so contagious that the melody of this polka was written by itself — easily and quickly.
The result is a three-part piece in three major keys, which makes it interesting to learn and perform. And the melody is the same, "catchy and sticky", so that after playing it once, you want to come back to it again.
